Searching for Perfection

BY: ANI AUSAR and QUEEN AUSET

One of the most difficult concepts for humans to process is the fact that we are not perfect. We spend so much time trying to be perfect. Searching for the perfect mate. The perfect meal. The perfect job. The perfect vacation. The perfect day. And so on...

Being able to accept imperfection as perfection is one of the most powerful concepts we can grasp. In the movie "The Matrix", Agent Smith speaks to Neo about the first matrix being a disaster because it was designed as a perfect world and how human?/ brains could not accept this dream-like state and kept trying to wake up. Of course in that case the antagonists of the film did not want people to wake up. They wanted people to stay asleep so they could be exploited. Sound familiar?

We are constantly bombarded with images of people living in a perfect world with money, power, beauty, etc. However, if you look closely most of them are not really happy because they have given a piece of their living soul to have this pseudo happiness. Wealthy people often say that "people who think money can't buy happiness don't have any money". But it is an empty happiness and all they do is throw money at problems and fill their worlds with materials to augment their emptiness.

I have been the most happy in my life when I can be at peace with who I am and what I have...which is a lot! For example, I have four beautiful, healthy children. I have zero health issues; I'm 47 years old. I have only 8 or 9 gray hairs. I own my own home with a large backyard for my children to safely play. I live on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. I have a fulfilling career. I'm in school earning my doctorate degree. I am in a position that I can support my extended family (not monetarily but with other types of support).

The reason why we strive for and seek perfection so adamantly is because we came from a place that was perfect. The dimension our souls existed in before we incarnated and established our soul contracts for being on this planet is a perfect place. We are seeking the oneness and perfection of Source. And Source is within all of us.
